Pedro Vilas Boas, Partner

Pedro is our "Guru". He is a true adventurer and he taught us the wonders of discovering the world and going off the beaten track. He has done several expeditions in África, on a jeep, descended several rivers on a kayak and climbed the Island peak, in the Himalayas. His wish for is 70th anniversary was to spend it trying to climb the Aconcágua, in Argentina, and there he went! The weather was to bad so they had to turn back, but this November (2011) he is going again.
Ana Barbosa, General Manager and Partner

Ana is our "brain", and the mother of the company. She is an expert on the Alentejo and a real ambassadress of our beautiful region. She wrote several books about the region and knows every hidden church, artisan or village. She can draw the perfect tour sitting on her desk. She loves travelling and trekking is her favourite sport. She has trekked in Portugal, in the Himalayas and in Peru, to mention some.
Teresa Vilas Boas, Product Manager and Guide

No one believed that, after two years travelling in Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal, Thailand and Laos, Teresa would come back and settle in Portugal. As someone who needs to go away to discover her real roots, she fell in love with the Alentejo and, step by step, became the soul of Turaventur and Monte do Serrado de Baixo.
With an endless energy and a lot of versatility, she will guide a cycling tour as well as a canoeing trip, she will set up an original outdoor event for a company or invent a delicious new cake for the breakfast of our guest house.
Demanding with herself and with her team, today she is one of the partners, a position she conquered with merit, guaranteeing the continuation of this pioneer project in the Alentejo and in Portugal
maria Maria José Verdasca, Back Office and Guide

Maria is, as we say in Portuguese, part of the furniture. She's been in Turaventur almost since the beginning, in 1990. She loves cycling and it's when she's out of the office that she shows her best. She is a true "Alentejana" (person from the Alentejo) and very proud of it. You will truly appreciate to be guided by her, as she is super attentive, very kind and good fun.
Filipe Palma, Back Office and Guide

Filipe is our newest "acquisition". He is a former sports teacher who decided to change his life after spending one year travelling on his bike around the world. He loves the ocean and windsurf is his favourite sport, but he has a passion for cycling too. He started the Lisbon Bike tour and set up several kayak, walking and cycling tours around Lisbon. Now he moved to the Alentejo and joined his expertise knowledge to ours. Thanks to him we can offer you tours that start in Lisbon and finish in the Alentejo, all with the best guides!
Luis Luís Carrapatoso, Back Office and Guide

Luís has worked with TurAventur for many years now. He is an architect who fell in love with tourism. He grew up with us, and from a shy young boy he became a communicative, interesting and self secure adult. He is still shy at first contact, but he will quickly conquer you! He is good fun, good company and a really hard worker. He has a typical Alentejo rhythm (famous to be slow!), but he is always doing something!
João Correia, Guide

Whatever may happen, João is always cool, nothing can stress him. Sitting in a canoe, hanging from a rope of riding a bike, as long as he is the nature, he is happy. You can always expect a relaxed smile from him. And besides all these, João is an excellent cook
